M2 Instructor Training

Description: In the event that the intervention becomes physical in nature, the program will then address and provide a self defensive methodology derived from proven evasive and defensive arts in order to protect oneself humanely and safely. The MAB methodology will help effectively manage assaultive situations through individual or group response. Energies are focused on the higher rate of success of avoiding a physical encounter between employees and the aggressive individual, and limits the liability of the standard, single step de-escalation protocol.

Why Take This Course: Following the training, attendees will be able to feel more comfortable with knowing how to properly recognize those warning signs of potential crisis within the workplace. Basic Water Safety

Description: Drowning is the second leading cause of accidental death for people 0-44 years of age. Two main causes are swimming and boating activities. 85% of those affected are males. Almost all knew how to swim and many of the drowning took place within g10 feet of safety and are people who did not intend on being in the water. Here you learn the safety measures to take around water and what objects can be used to help increase  your safety.

Why Take This Course: You learn to help yourself and others to be safe around or in water. This course will teach you how to survive if  you start drowning and how to help someone else in that position. Knowing the safety basics for boating and why wearing a PFD (Life Jackets) could potentially save your life. Drowning is called the silent killer and how to recognize signs of drowning.

Blood Borne Pathogens Training

Description:  For those who risk on-the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids, the course teaches how blood borne pathogens are spread. You’ll learn how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. After taking this class, be sure to talk to your employer about your workplace’s specific policies and procedures. Those who complete the training receive a Blood borne Pathogens Training certification valid for one year.

Basic Life Support (BLS) | All Inclusive

The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

Audience
This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

Course Content
• Key changes in basic life support, reflecting the new science from the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care

Dementia and Alzheimer’s Training

Description: Dementia is groups of symptoms that can be caused by over 60-70 disorders. Syndrome which refers to progressive decline in intellectual functioning severe enough to interfere with persons normal daily activities and social relationships. Marked by progressive declines in; memory, visual spatial relationships, performance of routine tasks, language and communication skills, abstract thinking, and ability to learn and carry out mathematical calculations. Alzheimer’s is the most common type of irreversible dementia.

Why Take This Course: If you have someone in your family or work with clients who have been or show signs of dementia and Alzheimer’s this course will fully educate you. You will understand the two types of dementia. Knowing the major risk factors and understanding an episode of delirium and how it is more than just an inconvenience. Description: In this course we specify strictly on kids and their health. This class can be for parents, coaches, schools, and nurses. Anyone who consistently works with kids as part of their day would utilize this course. MABPRO Parent Support Classes provides access to the MABPRO Foster./ Parent Family Support Group.

The MABPRO Foster/ Parent Family Support Group meets and provides training to the communities Foster Parent Network and Provides Support to Families in Dysfunction or Crisis. This training has been written to meet national standards and is recognized by courts and organizations that allow CEUs/ distance learning. The training for the provides meaningful content intended to meet court, legal, or employer requirements. We also recommend the Parent Education And Family Stabilization Course for personal growth.

The MTAC - CERT Basic Course is delivered in the community by a team of first responders, and other qualified volunteers. The organization and timing of training and meeting varies from program to program. It is often broken up into two to four hour blocks over a series of evenings or weekends. 

  • Disaster Preparedness: Addresses hazards specific to the community. Materials cover actions that participants and their families take before, during and after a disaster as well as an overview of CERT and local laws governing volunteers.
  • Fire Suppression: Covers fire chemistry, hazardous materials, fire hazards and fire suppression strategies. However, the thrust of this session is the safe use of fire extinguishers, controlling utilities and extinguishing a small fire.
  • Medical Operations Part I: Participants practice diagnosing and treating airway obstruction, bleeding and shock by using simple triage and rapid treatment techniques.
  • Medical Operations Part II: Covers evaluating patients by doing a head to toe assessment, establishing a medical treatment area and performing basic first aid.
  • Light Search and Rescue Operations: Participants learn about search and rescue planning, size-up, search techniques, rescue techniques and rescuer safety.
  • Psychology and Team Organization: Covers signs and symptoms that might be experienced by the disaster victim and workers, and addresses CERT organization and management.
  • Course Review and Disaster Simulation: Participants review and practice the skills that they have learned during the previous six sessions in a disaster activity.

During each session participants are required to bring safety equipment (gloves, goggles, mask) and disaster supplies (bandages, flashlight, dressings) which will be used during the session. By doing this for each session, participants are building a disaster response kit of items that they will need during a disaster.

#7205 This course covers common health hazards that are encountered in the workplace. These health hazards include exposure to chemicals, asbestos, silica and lead. Course topics include identification and evaluation of health hazards and their sources of exposure, health hazard information, and engineering and work practice controls. Students participate in workshops on evaluation and abatement of workplace health hazards. Upon course completion students will have the ability to understand common health hazards in the workplace and methods for controlling and abatement of these hazards. Minimum student contact hours: 6

This course covers an introduction to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the OSH Act for owners and managers of small businesses. Course topics include an introduction to OSHA, OSHA Standards, the inspection process, implementing a safety and health program, worker training requirements and assistance available to small businesses. Upon course completion students will understand OSHA operations and procedures and how to work with OSHA to prevent or reduce injuries and illnesses in their workplace. Minimum student contact hours: 3.5

The target audience for Emergency Oxygen Training is as varied as the audience for CPR/AED and First Aid training. Some of the common uses include:

The program is taught through a PowerPoint presentation; Instructor Kits are available with supplies for teaching Emergency Oxygen Administration.

To document successful completion, check the appropriate box on the provider certification card (First Aid, or CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers) or issue the Emergency Oxygen Certificate.

 

OSHA mandates that employers shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. MABPRO offers a program that enables each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and trains each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. This program trains employees to understand how to install anchors, as well as how to use and maintain personal fall arrest systems and full body harnesses. Equipment inspections will also be conducted during the training. The awareness course is 4 hours in length. MABPRO offers all levels of Fall Protection training.
